IBPS PO Eligibility
Candidates must possess the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the exam conducting body. It is important to meet three different eligibility criteria, the nationality, age limit and educational qualification. The application will be cancelled even if any one of the criteria is not met. Check detailed explanation of the eligibility here. Before applying for the exam, candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria.
A candidate must be either
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: A candidate belonging to categories b, c, d and e above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Minimum - 20 years and Maximum - 30 years, i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1988 and not later than 01.08.1998 (both dates inclusive).
A candidate must possess a minimum qualification of Graduation from a recognized University/Institute in any discipline. A candidate must possess valid marksheet/degree certificates that state that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers for the exam. It should also indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
