IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria - Check Details
Applicants must study the eligibility conditions laid down by the IBPS before registering for IBPS PO Exam 2019. Candidates must possess the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the exam conducting body. It is important to meet three different eligibility criteria, the nationality, age limit and educational qualification. The application will be cancelled even if any one of the criteria is not met. Check detailed explanation of the eligibility here. Before applying for the exam, candidates must ensure they meet the following eligibility criteria.
To appear for IBPS PO 2019, a candidate must be either
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came to India before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Note: A candidate belonging to categories b, c, d and e above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate who is applying for the IBPS CWE PO examination should not be less than 20 years old and not be more than 30 years old at the time of registration. In addition to this, there is an age relaxation applicable to category wise candidates as per the government rules:
A candidate must possess a minimum qualification of Graduation from a recognized University/Institute in any discipline. A candidate must possess valid marksheet/degree certificates that specify that he/she is a graduate on the day he/she registers for the exam. It should also indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online. Candidates who are in the final year and semester of their graduation are not eligible to apply as it is vital to mention marks while registering.
Working knowledge of computer systems is necessary for the job as well as to give the IBPS PO exam which is conducted in online mode.
Verbal and written proficiency in the official language of the State/ UT is desirable. The candidate must be able to read, write and speak the language.
